Starcraft Mutalisk model

Once animated, this will be my magnum opus. IMHO it is the best fan-made mutalisk model in existence (perhaps best mutalisk model overall? heheh) Of course, I'm a bit biased, as it is my own design. It is certainly the best modeling I've ever done. And the most detailed, at ~3800 faces (quads).

In this gif it's rotating along a funny axis just because I wanted the top and bottom portion of the wings to be visible. If I just had it rotating in place the wings would just be a horizontal line, as they're unposed. I am incredibly eager to rig it and get it flying, but I have to UV map it first.

Most of the design elements are callbacks to various official versions of the mutalisk from over the years, which I documented here (along with the side-view ortho I drew for it), but there are also some original details. And I realized as I was making it that for both the upper and lower mouth I was strongly influenced by the design of the Predator— even though I never looked at him for reference, clearly my interpretation of membrane-stretched-over-4-opposing-teeth has a basis in that. Which I have no problem with!
